These works are about feeling lost.

They are a reflection of the emotional turmoil one can experience when migrating to another country. The influence of the cultural shift is huge, especially on ones mental health and even physical health.

I used yarn and a countermarch loom to express the thing one needs but might not know how to ask for.
The letters of the words guide the design but are not easily readable. A secret language or code not for everyone to decipher.

At the same time, this work is a pun on the words one might write on a desolate beach while being stranded on a desert island. I enjoy using pop cultural references as metaphors to bridge gaps, entice and communicate.
